AMUCT  members under the leadership of Dr Norbert Lobo, President, organised a felicitation programme  to Prof Chikka Thimmaiah, Director of Collegiate Education , Government of Karnataka in the AMUCT office on 18th February 2013 at 5 p.m.

Dr Ummappa Poojary read the felicitation address. He pointed out that in spite of various top administrative positions held by Prof. Chikka Thimmayya in the department of Collegiate Education, he has not forgotten that basically he is a teacher. This is reason for popularity of Director among the teaching fraternity.

Dr Devananda R Gaonkar, the joint Director, Dept of Collegiate Education of Mangalore region, spoke on the occasion stressing the idea of an academic administration in the collegiate education which will give a humane touch to the social justice.

Replying the felicitation Prof Chikka Thimmaiah thanked the teaching community and especially, AMUCT  members for organizing such a wonderful programme

Dr Norbert Lobo, President, AMUCT, welcomed the gathering, Sri Purushothama K.V., General Secretary, AMUCT, proposed vote of thanks and Dr Denis Fernandes, the Editor, AMUCT Bulletin compeered the programme.
