Amuct delegation led by the President met the JD at his office on July 25, 2014.The List of the new Office bearers along with their addresses was officially handed over and pending issues and matters related to the salary and service matters release have been discussed.
The delegation strongly expressed its concern and protest for unnecessarily delaying the release of salary for the month of May. They appraised the JD the problems faced by non-teaching and teaching staff in this regard. A letter highlighting the issues was submitted to the JD. Many pending issues like non-payment of areas to retired staff, pending proposals related to placement, fitment of salary to the promoted staff, non-payment of DA and other arrears and the like. The outcomes of the recent meeting called by Honourabe Minister of Higher Education have been conveyed to him. It was also made clear to the JD that the Association will always approach his office with prior appointment to sort out any issues affecting the service conditions of its members and requested him not to call anyone individually. The President also stressed that Amuct as the registered association of the college teachers has been functioning in an very respectful and democratic way since its exception and is known for its work culture and high academic standards and requested him to facilitate an academically conducive environment in the region by taking care of the genuine and lawful demands of the teachers. The Joint Director promised to cooperate and solve the pending issues at the earliest.
